Nestled in the heart of the Annapurna range in Nepal, Pisang Peak (6091m) is a popular trekking peak that offers stunning views of some of the world’s highest mountains. The peak gets its name from the Nepali word for “banana”, which is also the shape of its summit. Pisang Peak climbing permits are required for all climbers, and can be obtained through a registered trekking company. The cost of the permit is $350 USD, which goes towards the park entrance fee and climbing permission by Goverment of Nepal.

Pisang Peak is a 6,091-metre (19,983 ft) mountain in the Annapurna massif of Nepal. It is one of the easiest 6000ers to climb and is therefore popular with trekkers and mountaineers. The peak was first climbed in 1955 by a German expedition.

Pisang Peak climbing permit costs Rs. 4,000 per person for foreigners and Rs. 3,000 per person for Nepalese citizens. The cost includes climbing insurance.

Where is Pisang Peak located?

Pisang Peak is located in the Manang District of Nepal. It lies in the Annapurna massif, and is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. The peak is 6,091 meters (19,984 ft) high, and can be climbed from several different routes. The most common route starts from the village of Pisang, which is a 3-5 day hike from the town of Manang.

When is the best time to climb Pisang Peak?

The best time to climb Pisang Peak is in the spring or autumn. The weather is usually stable during these months, with fewer chances of rain or snow.

How to get a climbing permit for Pisang Peak

In order to obtain a climbing permit for Pisang Peak, climbers must first submit an application to the Nepal Ministry of Tourism. This application must include personal information as well as details about the proposed climb, such as the intended route, number of climbers in the party, and estimated length of stay on the mountain. Once the application is approved, climbers will be issued a permit that must be carried with them during their ascent.

The cost of a climbing permit for Pisang Peak is $350 per person. This fee goes towards supporting the maintenance of trails and facilities on the mountain, as well as paying for search and rescue operations if necessary.
