Langtang Trek 12 days

Hi

I went on the Langtang trek with my girlfriend and had an amazing experience with Peace Nepal Treks!

The email communication with Nir lama was excellent and so helpful and friendly!

Nir picked me up at the airport and showed me around ktm in thamel for few days (free of charge lol) and took me out for dinner several times..

Together with our guide Prem we picked up my girlfriend at airport few days later..
Now the trek could start!

Together we started at Kathmandu and drove 6-7 hours with a private jeep to Syabrubensi with our guide Prem and porter Mayla.. Nir lama (boss) suggested us to have Mayla along with us and good we did! It was our first real trek of 12days so carrying one trekking bag for us with all our necessary belongings was a must! We left other luggage at the company in KTM and was well looked after!

So one night stay in Syabrubensi and we were of for the hike! Straight up the mountain valley we went!

I will not spoil you the whole trek but the heritage trail is really something not to miss out! (you can go straight up to the direction of Langtang but miss out all of the beauty of this trail ) Really lovely peoples and pictures villages up to a 360degree viewpoint at 3.2k where you can see a road that goes up to the Tibetan border!

I recommend this company if you want more insights of Nepal city's and all of its mountain beauty and more..
instead of a quick passing by.. You will enjoy tea with locals and playing with the
Mountain childrens.. as a tourist you will feel yourself as a little Nepali ;-)

Ending at the first peak after 10days at 4.4K.. Our record was set!

Now spending some more time with Nir and the other guides, i feel at home!

My summit attempt with Peace Nepal was a great experience! They have experienced staff who are all too willing to provide you with any assistance you require. From the moment I landed in Nepal, I was treated to their hospitality all the way up till the day that I left.

Will definitely visit them again if I ever return to Nepal.

Amazing Trek

My husband and I spent one month on the Everest view and then a part of the Annapurna Trail in the Mardi Himal Trek. Nir and Bill and all the staff at Peace Nepal took perfect care of us- -From guides and porters to hotels and food and all of our transportation. I can't say enough about how well they took care of us. They even found someone to help me find the perfect singing bowl in Katmandu. One of our guides, Bill, even cooked us a traditional meal in his apartment !!

Value for money

My brother and I did a 9 days trek around the Gosaikunda Trek, with a guide and a porter to look after us, we were very happy with the service and would be happy to recommend Peace Nepal Treks.

Marvelous people

I went with Peace Nepal Trek for my trip to EBC with a group of friends in 2013. My guides, Bil and Maila were excellent in terms of their experience and personality. We were received with a warm welcome on our arrival and were given an opportunity to discuss on what to expect during the trip.

My guides along with Nir gave useful advice along the way. During the trek, I fell sick and my guides were extremely helpful, making sure that I was well taken care of. Their service and attitude exceeded my expectations! I will definitely go back to them again

Above and beyond :)

Spent a month in Nepal on a university exchange where Peace Nepal assisted and lead a trek we did. The guides were really lovely, genuine, warm people that went above and beyond (one guide even carried one of my friends up from camp to the bus when she was really sick). The food was great and always varied/options. We had one night where the guides sang traditional songs for us, a big highlight :). We also visited one of the guide's family homes in a village and their mother served us tea! The guides are also just really friendly and help the time go past while trekking with good conversation. Really couldn't recommend Peace Nepal Treks enough!

Not your average trek tour!

Peace Nepal Treks go above and beyond! I did a 5-day trek with Peace Nepal. I came into the trek expecting a great trek with great views. However, Peace Nepal Treks gave me so much more! I came out with an amazing cultural experience including delicious meals and fascinating insight into the breathtaking land and its beautiful people. Cannot wait to come back again!

Annapurna sanctuary trek

I think Nepal is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen during my travels. Especially the Himalayas are so breathtaking. I've stayed in Nepal for a month with a friend. Nir from Peace Nepal Treks arranged our hotel upon arrival in Kathmandu, the next day flight to Pokhara, and a wonderful guide and porter (my dear Shambhu and Tirta) for the 10day Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Everything is tailor-made to our wishes. He even invited us to his home to have dinner with his family. Thank you nir.

After the devastating earthquake tourists avoid Nepal. This I understand but to help the beautiful people in Nepal they actually need you to visit.

In the past years the Annapurna Sanctuary trek and other popular treks were overpopulated by tourists (the only negative thing I could say about Nepal) so please visit this magical place enjoy the quietness of the treks and help the Nepali people get back on their feet.

Trekking to Ebc

Being to come from a city, in Nepal is really an eye-opener. The trek to Ebc was really refreshing. I love the trek and not just the trek. Our guide from Peace Nepal Treks host us very well. Make us feel very welcome.

Great trekking company!

Peace Nepal Treks is a great company for trekking in the Nepali Himalayas. In Kathmandu, there are many trekking agencies all offering many things and I can comfortably recommend Peace Nepal Treks as the very best of them. I have been twice with Peace Nepal treks on extended camping trips into remote and lesser-trodden trips into mountains and my sister has been with Nir Lama on a peak climbing expedition to Mera Peak all of which have been wonderful positive experiences. And from what comparisons I have the prices of peace nepal treks are very good.

I could write endless praises for their organizing of every detail of the trips from transport, flexibility, time in Kathmandu, environmental management, sleeping arrangements, and food. They are all great! But is the real source of all the great small details is that Peace Nepal Treks are a great family business, run and owned by kind and honest people that really want the best for everyone and are good at making that happen. What more can I say :)

This was an astounding experience. I would HIGHLY recommend the trip to the village. The overall experience can not be duplicated except that I hope not too many people do it as it stood alone as a serene nontouristy time of reflection and discovery

The best thing about Nepal

Nir and his team were by far the best thing about Nepal! Don't get me wrong though, the scenery, food, and culture Peace Nepal Treks shared with us was one of the best experiences I've had in all of my travels to 20+ countries.

They supported us on the treks while still challenging us with walks that provided views I can't even begin to describe. Thankfully at the end of the day, we were well-fed to revive us from the hard day's work!

A Very Good Example Of Nepalese Hospitality

Amazing Nepal Experience

As part of a university study tour last year we did a trek with Nir and his team at Peace Nepal Treks. The 5 days we spent trekking was incredible, with amazing views, awesome overnight camping spots, and really interesting stops at temples and other places of interest. We also had the privilege of staying in Nir's local village and helping to paint the primary school there. It really was an unforgettable experience, and the thing that made it most special was Nir and his team. They went above and beyond, both on the tour and on return to Kathmandu where we stayed for three weeks. Nir helped organize activities, day trips, and a flight over Everest during our stay.
I can't recommend anyone more highly.
Don't go with a big tour company to Nepal, the locals rely on your tourism to survive, especially after the devastating earthquake. I'm very well informed that it is safe to travel now in Nepal, so don't hesitate, to book your trip with Peace Nepal Treks. Give back to the locals and you'll be greatly rewarded!

Superb trip

We went with a group of 13p. Nir and his friends organized everything very well. The route was wonderful, overnight stay and food was good.

Gosaikunda Trek

We (a group of 13 Dutch girls) spent 2.5 weeks in Nepal, organized by Nir and his team. The absolute highlight was the Gosaikunda Trek, but the days before and after in Kathmandu and the Chitwan National Park were also very interesting and well organized.

It is comforting to realize that you are in good hands when you are used to living (and oxygen concentrations(!!)) below sea level and are on your way to cross a pass at 5000m altitude!

One of the noteworthy aspects about the company is that Nir is very available prior to the actual visit already to discuss details and preferences - great flexibility!

Manaslu and Dolpa Trek

I have been to Manaslu (2002) and Dolpa (2003) with Peace Nepal Treks.

Both hikes were amazing, the country is so beautiful and Nir offers a very well-organized hike with his wonderful team. The food is excellent, great service, and a great atmosphere. If you like mountains this is the place to go.

Unforgettable Trekking Experience

I did part of the Annapurna Circuit trek with Peace Nepal Treks. Trekking among the grandest most majestic mountains in the world is matched with the charm of people & villages along the way. My guide Bil Lama was amazing & I felt that we were brothers after a week of trekking together. After the trek, Bil invited me to his home a few hours outside of Kathmandu to meet his brother & father. The service Peace Nepal is able to provide goes beyond just being a good business & trekking company, they are great people & will go above & beyond to make your time in Nepal a full, enriching & enjoyable experience. Thanks Bil & nir lama. I miss you guys & Nepal always. One of the best times of my life. Beautiful scenery, landscapes, amazing people, the best guides & a great price!

Great people offering amazing experiences

I have been meaning to review Peace Nepal for a while. I have trekked with them twice, to Everest Base Camp and up to Langtang and both were truly amazing experiences. Their staff are funny and engaging and they go out of their way to make you feel like friends, not clients. This is definitely the advantage of traveling with a smaller independent company rather than the big guys. They also have loads of flexibility and will always go the extra mile for you.

They also offer a Tibet trip which several of my friends did and said was mind-blowing. There is genuinely no other company in Nepal that I would trek with.

Great experience

My and a friend did the Island Peak Climbing summit with Peace Nepal Treks. Our trekking guides Bill and Kami were super friendly and professional. The scenery was beautiful and the people were amazing. Would definitely recommend it and will be going back myself.

Consistently Superb

I have done 2 trips with Peace Nepal Treks and they are consistently superb.

A friend and I did the Island peak climbing with Peace Nepal Treks and had the best time. Everything was super organized and professional. Our tour guides Bill and Kami were friendly and knowledgeable, always going out of their way to help with every little aspect of the trip. The trip was fully catered and organized for the 2.5 weeks we spent trekking, and Nir also helped us organize our further travels through other parts of Nepal.
The trek itself was unforgettable, with scenery that I haven't found the likes of anywhere else in the world.
My other trip with them, 2 years ago was a similarly impressive experience.

Ghorepani & Jomsom Trek via Chitwan

Absolutely Amazing! In September 2013, our group of 7 friends and family trekked the Annapurna Region to Jomsom. Half the group were seasoned trekkers, the other half were experiencing it for the first time. Peace Nepal were very helpful and accommodating from our initial inquiry, thru planning, to showing us their beautiful country. They organized a trip to Chitwan National Park before our trek commenced, and were happy to help modify our itinerary to suit our wants. Nir and Prem at Peace Nepal Treks were so helpful and generous, even showing us around Kathmandu after the trek on their days off. The scenery is how I imagined it, beautiful and inspiring. Kagbeni would have been the highlight I wasn't expecting, a beautiful town to explore for an afternoon. Poonhill was magnificent, and so was the cup of tea at the top. My top tip for a novice trekker, take a packet of Jellybeans. They are a great energy boost with no wrappers.

a stunning experience

This really was one of (not the) best experiences I've ever had & it would never have been the same if not for the care and professionalism of nir and his amazing team. So, after hanging around at Kathmandu airport and reading that flights to Lukla had been canceled due to bad weather, Bil and Mila suggested that we do the "old school route" that starts at Jiri, adding 5 extra days onto our trek. THIS WAS THE BEST ADVICE WE COULD'VE HAD!! from Jiri you experience such an authentic way of Nepali life, the food was amazing, and the people are just wonderful. Once you reach Lukla then the crowds come in and something is lost, but our guides were there for us at every turn, giving us advice on health issues (we had none thanks to these guys) and making us howl with laughter all the way up. I even learned a little Nepali. the only regret we had was failing to go to nir/bill/Mila's village while back in Kathmandu after the trek, even though we had been invited and we would've had a great time. to this day we greatly regret this and we are very sorry for being silly Westerners. I cannot recommend Peace Nepal Treks highly enough, we have photos of the trek all over our wall at home, thankyou so much again nir and team. we will always cherish these memories. amazing

A truly amazing experience!!!

Peace Nepal Treks provided us with a truly incredible experience. An amazing time trekking through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal with wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable guides, incredible food, and the most spectacular views you could imagine, I would definitely recommend this company if you are visiting Nepal. They were able to help us with all our additional tourist activities, including organizing sight seeing flights, sightseeing in and around Kathmandu, as well as recommending great places to visit, eat and shop.
