What an amazing experience.

Seeing the Himalayas by air is breath taking and gives a real feel for the sheer size and extent of the mountain ranges. We flew with Yeti airlines, and the air crew went to great pains to make sure that we got good views regardless of which side of the plane you were sitting. They were also fantastic at pointing out some of the more famous mountains which we could see.
We booked the flight through Peace Nepal Treks. The weather has a terrific impact on availability of flights to see the Himalayas, so the booking you get is never guaranteed until the weather on the day is known.
We'd booked for a Friday flight, which had to be changed due to weather (we eventually made it on the Sunday). All thanks to Nir and the team at Peace treks for arranging all that and making it happen. We also took the taxi option provided by them, and given that you need to be at the airport very early (ideally by 6am) worked really well for us.

Nir took care of my flights to and from Lukla despite multiple weather delays. He drove me to the bus stop in the middle of the night to make sure I get a seat (and a good seat). He even let me stay at his homestay for free to stage for the trek. He is very resourceful in the area, he even upgraded my friend to a free helicopter ride because of his resources.
