Overview And Highlights

Located in the mid-eastern Himalaya, Pikey Peak Trek offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges. This trek is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the rugged and beautiful Everest region. Pikey Peak Trekking is a less crowded trek in the Everest region. This trek offers a great experience of the local Sherpa culture and a peaceful and tranquil environment. Pikey Peak Trekking is ideal for the novice or the experienced trekker.

Pikey Peak Trekking route follows a traditional Jiri Everest Base Camp Trekking route. It is a level route, with few challenging inclines. This trek also offers you a cultural experience of the local Sherpa people and their traditions. It also offers you a chance to explore a number of villages and monasteries along the way. The route also offers views of some of the highest mountain peaks in the world, including Everest.

Pikey Peak Trekking starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu. The flight takes approximately 30 minutes and is considered a short trip. If you are traveling for a longer period, then you can drive or take a jeep to Phaplu.

Depending on the time of the year you choose to go on your trek, you can expect to face varying weather conditions. The monsoon season begins in early June and ends around August. This is the time when the locals perform religious ceremonies. In addition, the monsoon season is the time when new crops are planted on the field. The locals also feed their domestic animals during this time.

In addition to the breathtaking views of the mountains, Pikey Peak Trek also offers you the chance to experience the unique culture of the Sherpa people. You will also get a chance to visit a number of Buddhist monasteries and stupas along the way.

The Pikey Peak Trek also offers you the chance to explore a few villages of mixed hill tribes. The trek also includes a visit to Thubten Choeling Monastery. The monastery is home to approximately 200 nuns.

The trek also includes five meals a day. Guests are also provided with trekking poles. A strong porter among two trekkers is provided at no extra charge. These porters will carry all your personal belongings and costs during the trek. The porters also provide full insurance during the trek.

If you choose to do a trek to Pikey Peak, you will be provided with a map of the route. This map will take you through a number of villages and monasteries of the Sherpa people. Several stupas and Buddhist Gumbas are also present along the route.

Pikey Peak Trek is not hard to do, but you should be physically prepared. If you are new to trekking, you should do physical exercises before you begin. This will make the trek more comfortable and easier. The trek is also ideal for the winter months and the monsoon season. During this time, it is recommended to wear a jacket and a waterproof jacket. This can also be helpful in case you experience an altitude sickness while you are on your trek.
