Annapurna region is recognized as the most popular destination in Nepal. Varied with natural and cultural diversity, the area lying north of Pokhara made my every day’s stroll a distinct experience. Alpine meadows, glaciers, moraines and awe-inspiring views of the Annapurna range captivated me.
The core part that is not to be missed while trekking in this region is climbing the chain of gigantic mountains including Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and many more. And, this is what added up to bestow one of the superb experiences ever to me.
While visiting Jomsom in the upper Kali Gandaki valley, the chaotic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri is eye-catching. Along with proving the views of natural beauty, Jomsom is the access point to the Upper Mustang and Muktinath temple, the significant pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists. Likewise, choosing to go for Annapurna Sanctuary will let you walk through a diversity of landscape, from plain villages to high glacier and rewards you with the magnificent views of a high peak. Moreover, another significant part of Annapurna Trekking region is a trek to Ghorepani Poonhill where enjoying the sunrise in the morning is an attraction that allows you to observe the rays of sun over the massive peaks of the Annapurna range.
