What our guest says ?

My name is Raymond van Driel, I live in the Netherlands and I'm a repeat customer of Peace Nepal Treks (P) Ltd. In 2002 my girlfriend and I and two friends wanted to do the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal. We emailed a few trekking companies in Nepal but Peace Nepal Treks (p) Ltd.

Corporate Social Responsibility

When you wrap your arms around social and environmental responsibility, a new sense of personal integrity follows. Satisfaction and a sense of power come with choices and actions that have a positive effect on your surroundings. We instruct all of our guests in the proven philosophy and guidelines of Leave No Trace techniques. Developed in a coordinated effort between federal land agencies, wilderness educators, outdoor retailers, and equipment manufacturers, Leave No Trace techniques minimize Peace Nepal Treks (P.) Ltd. groups’ impact on the delicate ecosystems through which we travel.

Economic responsibility:
Trekking in any region means bringing wealth into that region in any region means bringing wealth into that region. We are aware that this wealth is not fairly distributed; there is no easy solution to this. However we choose not to use the over wealthy establishments unless there is no alternative and the service we seek to offer our clients is likely to be compromised. Most of these establishments, wealthy or not use local staff. The money received by Peace Nepal Treks goes towards maintaining the quality of our operation to include local staff training regarding all aspects of tourism in the country.

Environmental Responsibility:
We are environmentally conscious & committed to trekking in a way that does no harm to the local environment. An adventure is not only for the present but for the future as well. Our guides and porters are aware about current environmental problems and are experts at conducting eco-friendly operations.

With camping groups we always carry Kerosene or Gas stove, so that no local wood need to be used to cook. Naturally, to maintain our high standard, we have a dedicated team of experienced staff, from the office managers who arrange your trip right down to the cooks that prepare your food!

  • Leave only footprints as you embark on journey.
  • Use kerosene for cooking purpose.
  • Respect privacy when taking photographs
  • Take only photo; leave only footprints as you embark on journey.
  • Use kerosene for cooking purpose.
  • Leave campsite clean.
  • Don’t fire on open place.
  • Protect natural aspects.
  • Respect local culture.
  • Seek permission before entering any temple or house.
  • Don’t take photographs with out granting permission.
  • Dress appropriately while traveling.
  • Respect holy places
  • Refrain from giving money to children as it encourages begging
  • Respect for the local etiquette earns you respect.
  • Let the Himalayas change you - Do not change them
  • Protect the natural environment
  • Leave the campsite cleaner than you found it
  • Burn dry paper and packets in a safe place.
  • Keep local water clean and avoid using pollutants
  • Plants should be left to flourish in their natural environment

Social Responsibility:
With the above notion in mind, ""Peace Nepal Treks" is trying to contribute in this sector by trying to involve the civil society in the further growth and development of the global community. This, of course, is a difficult task and challenging since it involves attitude and money further complicated by various types of systems, laws and processes. "Peace Nepal Treks" feels that one of the basic values to accomplish its vision is honesty and the trust of the civil society. Therefore it presents to you a very basic concept, "Contribution to global positive change through personal life satisfaction." "Peace Nepal Treks" is established by a group of professionals who are involved in the social sector, business men, and regionally recognized institutions. Their aim is to help those who want to help themselves to reach their goals and aspirations.

We are also providing much needed health and educational facilities to the more remote areas of Nepal. For more information;
