In 2002 my girlfriend and I and two friends
wanted to do the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal.

The northern part of Utter Pradesh is an area
of beautiful hills, mountains and lakes. You
take an exciting rafting trip down the Ganges
whereby you float past temples, ashrams and
yoga centers of the holy city of Rishikesh,
made famous by the Beatles who visited this
place in the 1960s. Next is a visit to Corbett
National Park where you travel by jeep and on
elephant back through the jungle trying to catch
a view of the great Indian tiger. The trip is
rounded off with scenic drive to the pretty
little hill station of Nainital.

Early
in the morning express train to Haridwar, then continue
by road to Rishikesh
Day 02
Rishikesh
– Rafting
Morning to visit the sacred hill towns of Rishikesh
and Haridwar, famous for their ashrams and sadhus. Afternoon
rafting trips on the Ganges; overnight stay in tented
camp.
Day 03
Corbett
National Park
Drive to Corbett National Park. Overnight in jungle
lodge..
Day 04
Corbett
National Park
Elephant ride through jungle, jeep safari in Corbett
Park.
Day 05
Nainital
Morning drive to the pretty little hill station of Nainital.
Day 06
Nainital
Day at leisure to enjoy the lake and beautiful surroundings.
A chance to take a boat on the lake or take a ride on
horse in the hill.
